PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Acting United States Attorney Sara Miron Bloom said that a Providence man admitted to possessing fentanyl pills and powder.

35-year-old Carols Molina pled guilty to a charge of possession with intent to distribute 400 grams or more of fentanyl.

Molina was arrested in November 2022 and found to be in possession of 1,503 fentanyl-laced pills designed to look like prescription drugs and a “mixture of powder” containing fentanyl weighing 411.75 grams.

Observations of Molina prior to his arrest by the DEA Drug Task Force saw him making multiple drug sales.

He is scheduled to be sentenced on Dec. 2.
