Firefighters responded at 1:48 p.m. to a structure fire at 51 Bennett Street, and managed to contain the fire to the area of the attic space, Deputy Fire Chief Chris Paul told The Recorder and Times. Article content

No one was injured and the home’s three occupants were out of the building, he added.

The incident resulted in water damage to the home’s second floor, said Paul.

The Brockville Police Service said officers also responded to the fire.

“The exact cause of the fire has not been determined; however, initial findings indicate that there is nothing suspicious to the cause,” said police.
