A Middletown man who was convicted on drug-trafficking charges is going to federal prison for 25 years. Prosecutors said the seizure of 16-kilograms of fentanyl as part of the investigation was the largest in Delaware history.
54-year-old Dwayne Fountain was convicted at his trial in March. The Drug Enforcement Administration, State Police and Dover Police led a lengthy investigation.
Evidence presented at trial also indicated that Fountain rented an apartment in Bear where he stored his inventory of drugs. Agents seized quantities of fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine and heroin.
The apartment was occupied by his teenage son.
