PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Labor Day weekend has arrived, and many people will be looking to squeeze in one last trip before kids head back to school.
While the current forecast calls for scattered showers and storms on Friday, the rest of the weekend is expected to be sunny and pleasant.

According to the Rhode Island Police Chiefs Association, state and local police will be working this weekend to crack down on impaired driving.
The BAT Mobile (Blood Alcohol Testing) will be out in Woonsocket and Middletown on Friday and Saturday, respectively.
"We want everyone to enjoy the holiday weekend, but never at the expense of safety," RIPCA President and Woonsocket Police Chief Thomas Oates said
