BETTENDORF, Iowa (KWQC) - The 2nd Ward alderman will be moving and will run in his new ward and says has the support of the current 4th Ward alderman.

Scott Naumann announced Thursday he’ll resign his 2nd Ward seat because he’s moving soon, and he’ll run in the 4th Ward in the November election.

“Serving the people of Bettendorf’s 2nd Ward has been one of the greatest honors of my life,” he said. “While this move is driven by family, my dedication to Bettendorf remains as strong as ever.”

Naumann has held the 2nd Ward seat since 2010.

Naumann said he has the endorsement of current 4th Ward Ald. Greg Adamson, whose held the seat since 2010.
