(KRON) — A man who tried to use a cellphone to record a woman in a bathroom at Red Morton Park in Redwood City on Aug. 24 has been arrested, according to the Redwood City Police Department.

The suspect, 32-year-old Wilson Velasquez Martinez of Redwood City, entered the women' s restroom around 2:46 p.m. and attempted to record a 32-year-old woman from Vacaville using a bathroom stall, according to police.

“The [woman] screamed for help, and her husband along with other family members confronted the suspect,” the Redwood City Police Department said.

Martinez allegedly left the park in a blue Honda Fit before police arrived. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

On Aug. 27, officers found and arrested Martinez. Officers also searched his home as part of an ongoing investigation. Martinez
