When you start seeing apple cider on the shelves again, it's a sure sign that fall is right around the corner, but there's a lot more to the sweet beverage than what you see at your local farmer's market, and it starts with farmers like Andrew and Joseph Sweny.

The brothers recently bought the Godfrey Run Farm Market in Lake City and are taking a crack at the cider-making process for the first time.

"We're just learning as we go, quite honestly, and it's going great. It's a lot, but we're having fun," said Andrew Sweny, Lead Apple Rancher at Godfrey Run Farm Market. "We got apples coming in, and we just started picking this past week, and we're rolling. We're going to make about 700 gallons of cider today."
