The Garnet Fire burning in the Sierra National Forest has grown to 13,934 acres with no containment as of a Thursday morning report, prompting new evacuation warnings, officials said.
The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office said evacuation warnings are now in effect for zones K74, K85, K160 and K32B.
McKinley Grove Road remains closed east of Camp Fresno, and both Camp Fresno and Dinkey Creek Campground are under evacuation warnings.
Zones K30, K31, K32A and K40 remain under evacuation orders, while zones K28 and K29 are still under warnings.
The Forest Service has also issued a partial closure of forest lands to the public.
Hunters and other visitors already in the area are being urged to leave, and those planning trips are being asked to cancel them.
