WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Trump administration is proposing a limit on the duration foreign students can study in the United States once they complete their enrolled programs.
The proposed changes aim at visas for foreign students, exchange students, and foreign media members and their representatives.
The Department of Homeland Security has stated that students would have a fixed time frame they cannot exceed, requiring them to be enrolled in a program.
Currently, students on an F visa can stay in the United States for 60 days after completing their studies.
The administration's proposal seeks to change this timeframe, impacting the length of stay for foreign students in the U.S.
