As far as art goes, it may never end up in a museum. London Free Press reporter Jonathan Juha reports how a “photo gallery” displaying images of cockroaches, bed bugs and mouldy walls was the way more than a dozen tenants at 85 Walnut St. drew attention to the ongoing issues and poor living conditions they say they are dealing with at the building run by London’s social housing agency.

THE ISSUE

Thursday’s demonstration is the second this year by tenants of the 200-plus-unit building west of downtown, who say for years now they have had to deal with pest infestations and other concerns that have gone unaddressed by the city-run London and Middlesex Community Housing (LMCH).

Among those protesting was Sharon Villeneuve, a tenant of the building for the past 12 years.
