Police are looking for a male suspect after a boy was groped while shopping with his mother inside a store at a Niagara Falls plaza.

At about 5 p.m. Wednesday, Niagara Regional Police were called to Town & Country Plaza on Portage Road between Colborne and Huggins streets for a reported sexual assault.

Police said the unknown man groped the child and was last seen running north through the plaza.

He is described as 25-35 years old, with an olive complexion and a medium build. He has black hair, a thick black beard and was wearing a white ball cap, a grey T-shirt, a white and black plaid jacket, red track pants with a single white stripe on the side and tan running shoes.

He was carrying a camouflage backpack.
