WATSONVILLE — In keeping with its pledge from prior years, the Santa Cruz Metropolitan Transit District has promised to do what it can to facilitate easy access to this year’s Santa Cruz County Fair.
The district is offering free fares on both fixed-route and ParaCruz services to community members looking to attend the popular local fair, which runs from Sept. 10-14. Offer does not apply to accompanying livestock.
To make travel even easier, Santa Cruz Metro has launched a special weekday route — Route 79F — that provides service directly to the fairgrounds at 2601 E. Lake Ave. in Watsonville, according to a release from the local transit agency. Weekend fixed-route riders can also take advantage of the free ride on Route 79 as it provides drop-offs throughout the five days of festivitie
