BREATHITT CO., Ky. (WYMT) - The Breathitt County Fiscal Court hosted its monthly meeting on Tuesday. Folks came out in droves to discuss the free-roaming horses on the strip jobs in Breathitt County.

The horses have been on the strip jobs for years. Property owners Faith Riley, Phyllis Clemons, and Shirley Fugate said they have lived near the horses for years.

“There is sick horses, skinny horses, they’re starving,” Riley said. “They’ll get down, they’ll be eaten alive because they’ve gotten so sick or injured and can’t get back up.”
