PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) -- The owner of a local food truck handed out free food Thursday to help those who might need a good meal.

Owner Kyle Graves parked his Twisted Pasta truck in front of the Pathway Ministries homeless shelter. The decision, he said, comes from his own difficult past.

“I've come from a struggle past myself. And when I opened up Twisted Pasta this April, I decided that if we ever get in a position where I can give back to the community, I really wanted to. Ever since we opened, it's been crazy. We've taken off so fast. The support we have from our customers is amazing, and we're actually in a position now where we can give back,” he said.

The menu included some of the truck’s most popular items, such as spaghetti, grilled cheese, fettuccine Alfredo, and homemade garlic
