SPOKANE, Wash - Kids under 18 won't be allowed in certain parts of Providence hospitals in Spokane and Stevens Counties due to concerns about recent measles cases.
Local health districts say one person in Spokane has a presumed case of measles, along with several people in North Idaho.
At least two of those infected spent time in Providence units within the last two weeks.
Providence says it's temporarily restricting visitors under 18 from the labor and delivery unit and the NICUs at Sacred Heart Medical Center and Children's Hospital, Providence Holy Family Hospital and Mount Carmel Hospital.
The hospital system says it will monitor the situation and update when any restrictions are changed.
