Best Cafe, one of my favorite breakfast spots in Arkansas located on Ouachita Avenue in Hot Springs on the grounds of the historic Best Court Cottages, announced on Facebook Thursday that it has closed up shop and chef Joshua Garland “no longer own[s] or operate[s]” the eatery. But the news is not all bad because the cafe’s excellent fare will now be available at Garland’s speakeasy-style restaurant DONS Southern Social on Central Avenue, which will be opening up for breakfast beginning Saturday.
