LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - A woman says her family lived through a nightmare Wednesday night when their SUV was stolen with their nine-month-old baby inside. Now she is sharing their story, hoping she can prevent other families from living through the agony she experienced.
The mother, who is going by Ms. Robinson, said she and her fiancée were running a work-related errand at a building on South Brook Street and East Broadway. She said her baby had fallen asleep in the back of the car.
“We weren’t expecting to be in there that long,” she pointed out.
Ms. Robinson said they didn’t want to wake the baby, and because they thought they’d be in and out, they left the baby inside the car, which was turned on and unlocked.
