LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Louisville Metro Police say a third teenager has been arrested for a homicide that took place in the Newburg neighborhood.

According to police, this is believed to be the last arrest in connection with the June 23, 2025, homicide from the 5300 block of Ridgecrest Avenue.

Police made their first arrest for this case on August 20, when a 16-year-old was charged.

On Wednesday, August 27, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s office served a warrant and arrested a second 16-year-old male in connection with the murder.

The teen victim died at the scene.

A motive for this shooting has still not been released.
