DUNMORE, Pa. — The Dunmore Bucks took to the gridiron Friday night with a different look. Covering the traditional crimson helmets, were guardian caps. Head Coach Kevin McHale says the Bucks decided to gear up and guard up full time this season.
"When we got through the 2 weeks and we didn't have any concussion related injuries at that time, so we thought that would probably be the best decision for our players," McHale said.
Seeing the caps over the helmets may take some getting used to for those watching the game, but the players wearing them don't have many complaints.
"I mean, it's a little heavier, but other than that, just like playing a game, once you're out there, you just, once you get in your groove, you're good to go," said junior Brayden Shigo.
"You can really tell the dif
