BLOOMINGTON, Ill. (WMBD) -- Miller Park Zoo unveiled its brand-new zoo sign Thursday morning after years of planning and designing.

"The invaluable piece of this is the time that was invested, the design, the care and our parks maintenance team, our forestry grounds, everything to prepare and make this site so beautiful and get that foundation built and ready. I can't even tell you the amount of effort, time, resources and the value. It's invaluable," said Jay Pratte, director of the zoo.

The sign features the Miller Park Zoo's branded colors: blue, red and green. It sits on top of a concrete base that lifts it off the ground. It also features lights on the ground to light it up during the night. The sign has been in the works for years now, and finally has come to life.
