COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - An investigation is underway after a group of suspects were caught on surveillance video stealing from Napier’s Produce in Columbus.
The incident happened around 3 a.m. Wednesday at the family-owned shop on Double Churches Road. Owner Patricia Gaspard says about $600 worth of items were stolen, including homemade cider, pickles, honey and bracelets made by her 11-year-old daughter.
“It’s upsetting because we work very hard to make an honest living, and for somebody to come in with no remorse and just take from you—it’s just upsetting,” Gaspard said.
She added that the bracelets had taken her daughters two months to make. “They took every single one,” she said. “That was heartbreaking.”
