CHAMPAIGN COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) -- Two restaurants in Champaign received less than satisfactory health inspections in the last week: one had 10 or more violations and was given a yellow placard, another received a red placard and closed briefly.

Shiquan Wonton, located at 212 E Green St. in Champaign, was inspected Aug. 27. The health inspector found nine risk factor/intervention violations and two repeat risk factor/intervention violations.

Because 10 or more priority or priority foundation violations were found during the inspection, a yellow food safety alert placard was posted. Priority items help to prevent hazards associated with foodborne illness or injury. Priority foundation items help to support priority items.
