Edmonton police say a former junior high school principal has been charged with sexual exploitation.
Police say that an investigation was opened after they got a report from a woman claiming that she had been sexually assaulted by one of her public school teachers on a number of occasions between 2004 and 2008.
The teacher was later hired as a principal at another school within the same school board.
Through their investigation, police took 51-year-old Jon Paul David Cooper into custody and have since charged him with sexual exploitation.
He has since been released with conditions, which include not to attend any public swimming area, school or school yard, playground, youth shelter or public library and to not seek or maintain any volunteer or employment position requiring authority o
