The Edmonton Police Service has charged a 51-year-old former junior high school principal with sexual exploitation.

“In early 2025, it was reported to police that a female youth had been sexually assaulted by one of her public school teachers on a number of occasions between 2004 and 2008. The teacher went on to be employed as a principal at another school, within the same school board, after this time frame,” said an emailed statement from the Edmonton Police Service (EPS).
