GRISWOLD, Conn. — A Connecticut State Police trooper was arrested after a domestic incident at a Griswold home Wednesday.
Edward Gookin, 37, of Griswold, is charged with disorderly conduct and was released on a $2,500 bond. He was scheduled to appear at court in Norwich Thursday.
State police said they went to the Griswold home at 9:21 p.m. Wednesday after receiving a report about a disturbance involving a man and a woman.
Investigators learned that a verbal and physical fight took place inside the home, and that the man, identified as Gookin, was the "primary aggressor," state police said. No one was hurt during the fight.
Gookin is an active trooper with the Connecticut State Police and was placed on paid administrative duty amid an investigation.
