ASHBURN, Va. — The Commanders selected wide receiver Jaylin Lane in the fourth round of this spring’s draft.

He’s a punt returner and a wide receiver that caught the eye of Washington's coaching staff with his playmaking and work ethic.

Draft pick or not, making your first NFL team is a moment the 23-year-old Lane won’t forget.

“My agent called me first, I didn’t even see they released it because I didn’t get no phone call or nothing and then my agent and said I see they put it out and I said, 'what?' Then my pops called me, and he was ecstatic, so it was pretty special," said Lane.
