A man and woman were taken into custody Thursday afternoon after leading Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers and Tulsa Police officers on a chase that reached speeds of up to 120 mph.

The incident began around 1:20 p.m., when Tulsa Police attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle after the tags indicated the driver might be wanted. Instead of stopping, the driver sped up, and troopers with OHP joined the pursuit.

The chase continued down Highway 412 until the driver veered off the road near Westport Road, crashing through a fence before losing control of the vehicle.

Authorities say the man got out of the car and tried to run, but troopers caught him a short distance away. A woman inside the car stayed at the scene and was also taken into custody.
