FARGO — First-half goals by Morgan Russmann and Chloe Birch, each their first of the season, paced North Dakota State past Concordia-St. Paul 3-0 on Thursday in a nonconference contest at Dacotah Field.
Gabrielle Garrett, from Maeva Lichtensteiger, scored in the 86th minute for her first tally of the season as well.
It was the first meeting between the two programs on the soccer pitch.
Bison keeper Hanna Stipp made six saves. Golden Bears keeper Sydney Potter had five stops and allowed two goals. Kayla Matuzak came in and made two stops.
Russmann connected just inside the fifth minute with Tyreese Zacher and Hannah Arnold assisting. Birch, from Russmann and Geni LaMarche, tallied in the 25th minute.
The Bison attempted 18 shots with 11 on net. Concordia-St. Paul had seven with six on
