Current teacher contract expires Oct. 7
Contract talks have halted between the Alberta Teachers’ Association and provincial employers due to salary disputes, leaving a potential strike on the table.
The organization said the “clock is ticking” on its ability to reach a deal without labour action, as the strike mandate approved by teachers in June expires on October 7, 2025.
