BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) -- Students will soon be back in the classroom at King Center Charter School but who will be leading them remains in question after a court order reinstated their old principal, while the school announced the appointment of another on Wednesday.

An administrative standoff comes after three of the top school officials were abruptly removed from their positions back in June, with the courts now involved.

The board abruptly let go of the school's principal, vice principal, and dean of students without warning during an eighth grade graduation.

The three were supposed to be back on the job on Thursday following a state supreme court ruling that granted a temporary restraining order against the school's board of trustees.
