The Alaska Nanooks men’s ice hockey team has filled out its 2025-26 roster with six new additions. The class blends stable defensemen from junior leagues with experienced NCAA forwards — adding versatility and size to head coach Erik Largen’s squad.

Liam Fleet

A 6-foot, 2-inch, 205-pound defenseman from Denver, Colorado, Fleet joins UAF from the Shreveport Mudbugs (NAHL). He was captain of the Mudbugs and in his top season posted 31 points, including seven goals and 24 assists. He also saw brief action in the USHL’s Youngstown Phantoms.

“Liam is a smart, steady defenseman who makes a great first pass and defends with purpose,” head coach Erik Largen said. “He’s a respectful, hard-working young man who brings a quiet confidence to our team.
