WILLISTON — A five-hour bus ride served two Jamestown High School seniors very well.

“Mylee (Michel) and Belle (Sjostrom) both tied personal records today with 83 and 87 respectively," JHS head golf coach Katie Hemmer said. “Williston is a long trip and it was a hot day, but it was really fun to spend it golfing and seeing the team stack up pretty well, finishing just 4 strokes out of 5th place.”

Hemmer and the Jays wound up scoring a 369 to tie for seventh place at the Williston Invite. Mandan won the tournament with a team score of 312.

Autumn Roberts also had a personal record of 109 that included a birdie and two pars. Roberts placed 65th overall.

Jamestown will be back on the links on Sept. 2 at Dickinson's Heart River Golf Course. Tee times are set for 10 a.m.
