When Kallee Spencer dropped her 2-year-old daughter off at daycare a few months ago, the teacher made a cryptic comment.

“She said, ‘I can’t wait for you to see Hadlee’s class photo — but you’re going to have to wait,’” Spencer, a mother of two in Texas, tells TODAY.com .

A few weeks later, Spencer got a text message from a class mom, which read, “Hadlee’s class photo should be her graduation picture.”

Spencer quickly logged onto the website of the daycare, which had uploaded the class photo. All the students were calmly staring into the camera — “and then there was Hadlee,” says Spencer. Her daughter had made the silliest and most exaggerated face, digging her fingers into the sides of her mouth.
