MADISON COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Work crews in Madison County are making progress on construction impacting I-75.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says the bulk of the work is moving from the southern part of the project to the north.
Construction will pause for the Labor Day weekend, from 6 a.m. Friday, August 29, until 6 a.m. Tuesday, September 2, barrels will be moved back, and there will be no lane closures throughout the project.
After the holiday weekend, there will be single lane closures around mile markers 92 through 98. That’s close to the clay’s ferry bridge. All three lanes between mile markers 86 and 92 will be back open.
The project is still expected to be done in late October.
