LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - A Louisville mother was arrested on Wednesday after flipping her SUV with her baby inside, while believed to be intoxicated.

At around 10:24 p.m. on Wednesday, August 28, Louisville Metro Police responded to a call of a crash in the 900 block of South Seventh Street.

Further calls informed officers that a black SUV had flipped over after hitting two vehicles. Callers also told police that someone was still inside the SUV and that a baby had been removed from the car and was conscious and breathing.

At the scene, officers found the SUV flipped onto the driver side.

The driver, 30-year-old Chalisa Helm, had exited the car and was sitting in a chair and covered in blood.
