MEAD, Wash. – Construction is progressing on a new residential and commercial development in Mead, expected to bring significant economic growth to the area. The site is located near the Costco on Newport Highway and aims to expand the community.

Greenstone is leading the charge with its massive $1 billion "Mead Works" development. According to Heidi Bollum, Greenstone Community Sales Manager, phase one of construction is already in progress with about 150 units currently being developed.

The Mead Works project covers more than 300 acres and will feature a variety of housing options, including a 55-plus community called "Trutina." Bollum expressed enthusiasm about the development's progress, noting the community's eagerness for completion.
