CLARK COUNTY, Wash. (KPTV) - A man accused of threatening a road paving crew with a AR-style rifle was arrested in Clark County on Thursday afternoon.

Clark County deputies along with Washougal and Camas Police responded to a report of a disturbance with a weapon near SE 352nd Avenue and SE 1st Street, north of Washougal, at around 12:20 p.m.

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office said a road paving crew in the area told them a man wearing camouflage and a tactical plate carrier-style vest confronted and threatened them with a AR-style rifle.

The man then reportedly went inside a nearby house and the paving crew was able to leave the area.

A SWAT team was called to the scene, and 37-year-old Justin M. Bryden was arrested without incident at around 5:30 p.m.
