MANCHESTER, N.H. —

Firefighters worked Thursday evening to extinguish a brush fire in Keene.

Officials said the fire was first reported around 5 p.m. between Hurricane Road and Arch Street.

Deputy Chief Greg Seymour said it took about an hour to locate the fire with help from drones in Vermont and the New Hampshire State Fire Tower.

Mutual aid crews assisted in putting out the fire and bringing water to the scene.

The fire burned between a quarter and half an acre of land.

The Keene Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause.
