MANCHESTER, N.H. —
There is a possibility of seeing the northern lights over parts of New Hampshire later Monday night.
An eruption on the surface of the sun over the weekend blasted charged particles into space, and they are on a collision course with Earth.
When the charged particles reach Earth later today, it will set off a colorful display known as the Aurora Borealis.
NOAA's Space Weather Prediction Center has said conditions are likely to reach a level 3 out of 5 Monday night.
