An Albuquerque, NM man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing in Mayfield.

Mayfield Police reported Thursday on the stabbing which occured this past Sunday in the 200 block of North 4th Street. They along with the Graves County Sheriff's Office found a 39-year-old male with a stab wound in the back, while the suspect, 30-year-old Manuel Moya-Hernandez had fled the scene.

Moya-Hernandez was tracked to a hotel in Cairo, Illinois, and his vehicle was located there by Cairo Police. A Ballard County (KY) Sheriff's Deputy (K9) and Alexander County (IL) Sheriff's Deputy arrived to assist in locating Moya-Hernandez., who was found in a hotel room and taken into custody without incident.
