Talk about a cold take.
Michael Irvin had egg on his face after he “guaranteed” Micah Parsons was not going to be traded by the Cowboys during an appearance on “NFL Live” on ESPN on Thursday, only for the edge rusher to be traded a short while later.
Parsons was traded to the Packers for two first-round picks — one in 2026 and one in 2027 — and three-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Kenny Clark, and agreed to a new four-year, $188 million contract with Green Bay.
“You can report all you want, there’s no way they allow Micah Parsons to go anywhere,” Irvin said. “All of this is part of the negotiations and as I talked to Jerry [Jones] the other day on my podcast, and he was talking about it the other day. When he tried to make that offer, he said somebody told him to shove it up his rear.
