WASHINGTON — An officer was injured after a driver reportedly "rammed" into a cruiser while running from an attempted traffic stop on Thursday night.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department, an officer tried to initiate a stop after noticing stolen plates on a possibly stolen vehicle just after 8:15 p.m. in the 9500 block of Georgia Ave.
MPD says the driver rammed the cruiser, striking the officer's leg, before driving away.
The officer suffered minor injuries.
There is no word on where the driver is at this time. Police have yet to release any descriptive information about the driver.
