LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Abraham Scholting broke a 21-21 tie with 1:07 left with a 3-yard rushing touchdown to give Nebraska-Kearney a season-opening win over Wayne State. Scholting plunged into the end zone to cap an exciting intra-state match-up in Week 1.

Scholting rushed for a pair of scores on 8 attempts. He also complete 3-of-4 passes for 51 yards.

Wayne State quarterback Bennett Dannenbring passed for 225 yards and two touchdowns.
