HUDSON – Big plays and a dominant second half helped propel the Hudson Tigers to a season opening win in a battle of state ranked teams Thursday night, with Hudson racing past Fowler by the score of 44-8.
“Fowler is such a great team, they are well coached, and we knew they would come in and be physical, and we took that as a challenge, especially since they got us last year,” Hudson coach Dan Rogers said. “We told the kids from the very beginning this was going to be a battle in the trenches, this game was going to be won in the box, and tonight we just made the plays.
"I thought our offense, especially our offensive line, was just awesome, I could not be prouder of the offensive coaches tonight. They just kept sticking with it, we had a great game plan, and the kids executed it tonight
