FREEPORT, Ill. — The Freeport School District has opened a new early childhood center to address the growing demand for preschool education.
Sara Latimer, the district's Early Childhood Director, highlighted the significance of this development.
"This is the first time that all of our teachers are in one building. They previously were in multiple buildings. And so we've been able to bring everyone together, including all of the support that our families and children need at this early age," Latimer said.
Preschool teacher Chelsea Eilders shared her excitement about the new facility.
"This is exciting for our district. All of our littles are together and can communicate and talk to each other and interact with one another, and that's something we haven't had in the past," Eilders said.
