A 21-year-old woman was shot Thursday afternoon in the Chinatown-International District and the assailant remains at large, according to Seattle police.
Officers responding to a report at about 1 p.m. of a shooting near the 500 block of Rainier Avenue South found a woman who had been shot twice in her upper back. She was taken to Harborview Medical Center in serious but stable condition, according to police.
Seattle police determined the woman got into a fight with another woman at the nearby Hoa Mai Park before the suspect pulled out a handgun, pistol-whipped the victim and shot her in the back, according to police. She ran away and has not been found, according to police.
