A Scottish tourist was allegedly shot in Thailand during a road rage incident outside a hotel.

The man, who has been named as Aiden McDonald, was hospitalised after the terrifying incident in the country's Mae Hong Son province on Tuesday, August 26.

It is alleged Aiden, 25, was shot in the arm after becoming involved in a near crash with the suspect - a 40-year-old local. A heated row is understood to have followed on the street before a firearm was brandished.

As the Daily Record reports, the incident took a strange twist when the gunman took Aiden to hospital. He was later traced to his home and arrested.
