CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - You’ve heard of finger painting, but what about paw-painting?

Southeast Missouri Pets filled the Catapult Creative House in Cape Girardeau with puppy and kitten-made art in August for an auction.

The way it works, you contact the non-profit to place a bid on the piece you want.

Southeast Missouri Pets Executive Director Jenn Farmer said it’s been a slow month for bids, but she is still hopeful the community can help.

“So excited, I have chills! Watching them make the art is one thing, but seeing it all up is...and they did such an amazing job here at Catapult. The need is incredible, I mean, we need everything from food to litter to our electric bill so all of this goes into our operating account to keep our shelter rolling,” she said.
