VIENNA, Mo. (KY3) - The Maries County Sheriff’s Office identified remains found as a man reported missing in June of 2023.

Devin Gehlert disappeared in Belle, which is north of Rolla. He was 36 years old at the time.

The sheriff now calls the case a death investigation. A search team uncovered the remains in a wooded area near County Road 309. The sheriff says teams have pursued every tip that’s come in over the last two years. They even drained two ponds with no results. It’s unclear what led them to that area on Thursday.
