CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — A Salem man has been convicted in the February 2024 drug-related killing over a $100 debt.
A jury in Harrison County found Dennis High guilty of first-degree murder with mercy and guilty of conspiracy to commit kidnapping in the killing of Dallion Lewis, 37.
Prosecutors said High played a key role in the killing by cleaning out the trunk of his car for the killers to hide in and selecting the location the killing would take place on Jack Run Road.
Testimony said High and Jennifer Kirk lured Lewis into a van that the killers were hiding in the trunk of. When High pulled off Jack Run Road at the spot he picked, the killers got out of the trunk and shot Lewis.
